Florida Coast Church is a Christian community in Pompano Beach in the Reformed theological tradition, joyful about knowing Jesus and sharing His love. We are part of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), which is a church that holds to biblical teaching and emphasizes the mission of making disciples of all nations.
Since our founding in 2017, we’ve grown from a small Bible study in Pastor Larry Trotter’s home to a vibrant church committed to biblical worship, genuine connections, and heartfelt service. Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ both in Pompano Beach and around the world.
Although our worship services are in English, we offer simultaneous translation of the sermons into Spanish. Because our members come from ten different nations, you will be able to have conversations in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Creole, or French.
We believe the Bible is God’s true Word, guiding us to live out the gospel with love and purpose. Whether you’re exploring faith or seeking a church home, we invite you to join us in worship and discover how Jesus transforms lives.

At the heart of Florida Coast Church are values rooted in the gospel of Jesus Christ. These guide how we worship, serve, and connect with one another in Pompano Beach and beyond.

We strive to glorify God through worship that is rooted in scripture, and that draws us closer to Him.
We are called to serve our community and those in need, through both physical and spiritual acts of love and kindness.
We seek to spread the good news of Jesus Christ to all people, and to share the gospel through both deed and word.
We prioritize the practice of discipling others in the faith, helping them to grow in their understanding of the Bible and their relationship with God.
We strive to be wise stewards of the resources God has given us, using them to meet the needs of the church and community.
We seek to foster unity in diversity, standing together as a church family united in our purpose of sharing God’s love.

We seek to fulfill the Great Commission, making disciples of Jesus Christ in our region and beyond.
Florida Coast Church holds fast to Reformed beliefs, grounded in the Bible as God’s inspired Word. Our faith shapes how we worship, live, and share the gospel. A fuller explanation of our beliefs is available in the Westminster Standards.
The following statements summarize them:
We invite you to explore these beliefs and join us in living out our faith with boldness.
Florida Coast Church holds that the Bible is God’s inspired and true Word, the ultimate guide for faith and life. It reveals God’s character, His will, and the story of His love through Jesus Christ. As a living source of wisdom, the Bible shapes our worship, teaching, and daily walk, drawing us closer to God. We study Scripture together to grow in understanding and obedience.
Florida Coast Church believes in the Trinity: one God, existing eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person is distinct yet fully God, united in perfect love and purpose, creating and sustaining all things. This sacred mystery reveals God’s relational nature, inviting us into communion with Him. The Trinity shapes our worship and faith, grounding us in the truth of who God is. We proclaim this foundational doctrine, trusting it deepens our love for Jesus and His gospel in Pompano Beach and beyond.
Florida Coast Church confesses that our Holy God relates to humanity covenants that he established. The first covenant he made promised life on the condition of perfect obedience. Adam, the first man, broke this covenant of life. Even so, the Lord graciously made another - the covenant of grace. In the covenant of grace, God freely offers life and salvation to sinners through faith in Jesus Christ. In the Old Testament, God showed his grace to sinners through promises, sacrifices, and ceremonies that pointed to the Christ to come. In the New Testament, Jesus has fulfilled these temporary measures. Now, God gives grace to his people through the preaching of the word and the sacraments. Therefore, the only way any sinner has ever been saved is by grace through faith in Christ.
Florida Coast Church confesses Jesus Christ as the Son of God, fully divine and fully human, the heart of our faith. He came to earth to die for our sins, rising again to secure eternal life for all who trust in Him. His teachings on love and repentance guide our lives, calling us to follow Him in worship and service. We proclaim Jesus as Savior and Lord, inviting all to know His transformative grace.
Florida Coast Church believes that the Holy Spirit is God actively present in our lives. He guides, comforts, and empowers us, revealing the truth of Scripture and equipping us with gifts to serve Jesus. The Spirit transforms our hearts, drawing us closer to God in worship and daily life. We rely on His strength to live out our faith with love.
Florida Coast Church believes salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. His death and resurrection paid the price for our sins, offering eternal life to all who repent and trust in Him. We are saved not by our works but by God’s mercy, assuring us of His unending love. We share this hope, inviting all to embrace Jesus’ saving grace.
Florida Coast Church affirms Baptism as a sacred act instituted by Christ, symbolizing our union with Him and our pledge to live as His followers. It publicly declares our allegiance to Him, marking the start of a life devoted to following His teachings. Through Baptism, we celebrate God’s grace and unite with His covenant community. We joyfully honor this milestone, inviting all to proclaim their faith in Jesus.
Florida Coast Church believes the Church is the covenant community of believers and their children, united by faith in Jesus Christ and called to worship, serve, and proclaim His gospel. As part of Christ’s body, we are bound by His love, governed by Scripture, and guided by the Holy Spirit to live out God’s redemptive mission. The Church is a holy assembly, reflecting God’s grace through the Word, the sacraments, and discipline. We strive to be a faithful witness, inviting all to join this family of faith.
Florida Coast Church believes prayer is a vital connection to God, expressing our faith and seeking His will. Through prayer, we draw near to God through Jesus, asking for guidance, strength, and healing for ourselves and others. It deepens our trust in God’s love and shapes our lives in worship and service. We pray together, relying on the Holy Spirit to lead us.
